Tripoli Man Charged After High-Speed Chase

A 20-year-old from Tripoli has been arrested after going 105 mph in a 65 mph zone.

The Bremer County Sheriff's Office says they tried to stop the vehicle going northbound on Tuesday at 10:36 p.m.

The car, driven by Jacob Masker, didn't stop and a chase on Highway 218 began, which ended north of Horton by the V14 and 120th Street intersection.

Masker was arrested for second offense operating while intoxicated (drugged) an aggravated misdemeanor, eluding a class D felony, speed of 131 mph in 55 mph zone, and two stop sign violations.

Masker was arrested and is being held at the Bremer County Jail.

He was also wanted on a warrant in Black Hawk County for a second offense of operating while intoxicated.

No one was hurt during the chase.
