Classes are cancelled Wednesday for three Waterloo schools due to an ongoing investigation into a social media threat.
The Waterloo School District will close East, West and Expo High Schools.
The district says someone made a threat on social media referencing West and Expo High Schools, but did not reference East High.
Both Police and the district worked together through the night to investigate the situation. They say while they made a lot of progress, they still need time to investigate before they allow students back to school.
The district is already planning on having students return to class on Thursday.
