Wells Fargo Reducing Workforce

IOWA EMPLOYEES OF WELLS FARGO MAY BE WAITING FOR NEWS ABOUT THEIR JOB.  

WELLS FARGO TOLD ITS EMPLOYEES THURSDAY THAT IT WILL CUT UP TO TEN PERCENT OF THE WORKFORCE IN THE NEXT THREE YEARS. 

THAT WILL RESULT IN THOUSANDS OF JOBS BEING LOST.  CEO TIM SLOAN MADE THE ANNOUNCEMENT TO EMPLOYEES.  

THE HOME MORTGAGE UNIT OF THE FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPANY ANNOUNCED LAYOFFS IN SEVERAL LOCATIONS EXCEPT IOWA LAST MONTH, BUT SO FAR THE COMPANY HAS NOT DETAILED ANY IOWA LAYOFF NUMBERS.  

THE COMPANY IS ONE OF IOWA'S BIGGEST EMPLOYERS.
