Early voting for the special election to be held October 2 in Iowa City is now available.
People are able to vote from 7:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays at the Auditor's Office on Dubuque Street.
People will also be able to vote early on September 26 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics fountain lobby.
Another satellite voting site will also be held September 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Iowa City Public Library.
The last day people will be able to vote in person is October 1.
The deadline to request a mailed absentee ballot or to pre-register is September 21 at 5 p.m. People will still be able to register after the deadline date if they have an ID and proof of address.
