HIAWATHA, Iowa (KCRG) - The Hiawatha Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at 69 East Clark Street in the parking lot behind the address at 8:47 p.m. Monday.
Police Chief Dennis Marks said more than 20 shots were fired and some of them hit a vehicle three people were in.
Marks said the people in the vehicle weren't hurt from gunshots, but one had some minor cuts and scrapes from what was assumed to be broken glass from a shattered window. The person with minor injuries wasn't treated for them.
Authorities say the suspect was on foot and no arrests have been made.
The incident is still under investigation.
