Albuquerque, New Mexico -- Senior Kristin Glesne paced the University of Iowa women’s golf team with a 36-hole score of 146 (+2) at the Branch Law Firm Invitational on Monday. The Hawkeyes are tied for 14th through 36 holes. Iowa carded a total of 608 (+32).
No. 15 Kent State is in first (569; -7). They are followed by New Mexico (573; -3) and No. 11 Northwestern (573; -3).
GLESNE LEADS IOWA
After firing two-over par in round one, Glesne utilized two birdies and jumped eight spots on the leaderboard in round two. Glesne is tied for 25th overall. Her 28 pars ranks third in the field.
Senior Shawn Rennegarbe shot a one-under-par 71 in the second round. She utilized four birdies to jump 22 spots on the leaderboard.
FRESHMEN DEBUT
Freshmen Manuela Lizarazu and Dana Lerner each made their Hawkeye debut. Lizarazu and Lerner are tied for 78th and 73rd, respectively.
