Hy-Vee is recalling its Hy-Vee Spring Pasta Salad because it may be contaminated with Salmonella.
According to a news release, the company is taking the action after learning of around 20 illnesses that may be linked to customers eating the salad. Those illnesses were reported in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, and South Dakota.
The recall covers both one pound and three pound containers of the salad, produced between June 1 and July 13. The plastic containers have expiration dates between June 22 and August 3.
Hy-Vee said the pasta salad was distributed to all of its grocery stores, which have removed the product from shelves.
Customers who purchased this product should dispose of it or return it to their local Hy-Vee store for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact Hy-Vee Customer Care representatives 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 1-800-772-4098.
