One Killed in Fairbank Crash

BREMER COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- A Fairbank woman has died from injuries suffered when she was ejected from a minivan in a rollover crash in Bremer County.

According to the Bremer County Sheriff's Office, it happened about 12:20 p.m. Monday, July 16, in the 3100 block of C-33/190th Street, about 13 miles west of Maynard.

Deputies said 72-year-old Donna Fratzke was a passenger in the minivan, which 62-year-old Janann Kramer of Fairbank was driving. They said Kramer lost control and overturned in the ditch. Both she and another passenger suffered unknown injuries.

Emergency crews took all three to a hospital, where Fratzke died later from her injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.

The Iowa State Patrol, Sumner Fire Department, SEMS Ambulance Service, Denver Ambulance Service, and Del's Towing & Repair assisted the sheriff's office with the incident.
