A head-on collision in northwestern Linn County Monday sent one person to the hospital.
It happened about 4 p.m. Monday, July 9, on Lewis Access Road at the northbound Interstate 380 on ramp.
62-year-old William Kester of Walker was driving east, making a left turn onto the on ramp and turned in front of an oncoming westbound vehicle. The two vehicles collided and came to rest in the west ditch of Lewis Access Road.
An ambulance took Kester to a hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, deputies said. The driver of the other vehicle suffered only minor injuries and refused treatment. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Deputies cited Kester for the crash.
