FOURMILE CREEK STILL IS FLOODING STREETS ON THE NORTHEAST SIDE OF DES MOINES.

THERE WAS WIDESPREAD FLASH FLOODING AFTER THREE TO TEN INCHES OF RAIN FELL SATURDAY ACROSS THE DES MOINES AREA.

FOURMILE CREEK SET A NEW RECORD FLOOD LEVEL, ACCORDING TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE, AND THE WATER'S NOT GONE, YET.

SEVERAL NORTHEAST DES MOINES STREETS REMAINED CLOSED SUNDAY WITH WATER FROM THE CREEK STILL OVER THE STREETS AND INTO NEARBY HOUSES.

ON EAST 37TH STREET SEVERAL VEHICLES WERE STILL IN WATER UP TO THE WINDOWS.

IN THE NORTHWEST DES MOINES METRO AREA, CLIVE AND URBANDALE BOTH ANNOUNCED SUNDAY AFTERNOON THAT THEIR STREETS  HAVE ALL BEEN OPENED.
