BLACK HAWK COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9 ) -- The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says they are investigating the death of a child.
Captain Mark Herbst says deputies were called to 7114 E. Dunkerton Road at around 7:40 a.m. Wednesday on a report of a child not breathing.
Herbst says the child was taken to Allen Hospital by Dunkerton Ambulance where the child was pronounced dead.
An autopsy will be performed by the Iowa State Medical Examiner.
The age and gender of the child have not been released.
