A police officer initiated a traffic stop near Metro High School in Cedar Rapids on May 22 around 9:40 a.m.
When the driver didn't stop and attempted to flee from officers, a chase ensued.
The suspect identified later as 26-year-old Daisha Gonzalez tried to escape by fleeing on foot after her vehicle hit a building at 16th Avenue and 1st Street SW.
Authorities were able to track the suspect with a police K9.
