Cedar Rapids, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Tuesday morning, the second honor flight of the year will be taking off from the Eastern Iowa Airport with more than 90 veterans on board.
This will be the organization's 32nd flight with WWII, Korean, and Vietnam Era veterans on board.
Eastern Iowa Honor Fights began in 2009, and they've already transported 2,666 veterans, plus their guardians to Washington, DC.
Once there, they will visit the WWII, Korean, Vietnam memorials, as well as visit Arlington National Cemetery, and other memorials.
Tuesday's flight to D.C. is expected to depart from the Eastern Iowa Airport at 7:00 AM.
They will return Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. for a welcome home ceremony at the Eastern Iowa Airport, where the public is welcome to attend.
