DORCHESTER, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- A man died after falling from a bridge in rural Allamakee County, early Sunday morning, according to the sheriff's office.
In a news release, authorities said someone notified them of the incident at a bridge on Orchid Drive near the intersection of Highway 76, around 1:30 a.m.
Authorities said an adult male fell from the bridge and "died as a result of the injuries sustained."
"No foul play is suspected," said Allamakee County Sheriff Clark Mellick, in the release. "The incident remains under investigation by the Allamakee County Sheriff's Office."
Authorities are withholding the victim's name until family is notified of the death.
