2018 Big Ten Rowing Championships Notes


The 2018 Big Ten Rowing Championships will take place Sunday, May 13, at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis. This year marks the eighth consecutive season that the event has taken place at the course. The Big Ten Rowing Championship format will be an eight-lane finals only championship.

Ohio State enters the event after winning its fifth consecutive Big Ten Championship and eighth overall last season. The Buckeyes recorded 180 team points, earning a trio of first-place finishes and a pair of Big Ten Championships records. Michigan followed in second place with 179 points, while Wisconsin finished third with 126 points.

Six Big Ten teams are ranked in the latest national USRowing/CRCA Coaches Poll. Ohio State leads the way at No. 4 followed by No. 6 Michigan, No. 8 Iowa, No. 13 Wisconsin, No. 14 Indiana and No. 20 Michigan State.
