Iowa State Patrol Seeing Big Crash Increase

Speeding increases the chances of a crash. That's the warning from Iowa State Patrol after they clocked a driver going 109 miles per hour earlier this week on Interstate 29 in western Iowa.

Troopers have covered more than 1,700 so far this year. During the same time period last year, the number was fewer than 1,200.

The patrol says that's an average of about four and a half more crashes each day.
