SOLON, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- A Solon man has pleaded guilty to cyberstalking in federal court in Davenport.
The U.S. Attorney's office said 48-year-old Daniel Stone admitted to texting a minor female more than 170 times between October 31, 2016 and November 3, 2016. Stone used a fake name in the text messages and offered the girl cash and other "goodies" to become his sugar baby. Prosecutors said Stone also sent numerous texts indicating he was watching the girl, was outside her home, and accuratelly described items or places within the girl's residence. The minor female made repeated requests for Stone to leave her alone.
Stone is scheduled to be sentenced on September 12. He faces a prison term of up to five years and a maximum fine of $250,000.
