A Warm & Windy Day, Storms Tomorrow

A warm, breezy, and dry day all combine to make the fire danger high again today. Winds from the south at 15 to 25 mph will gust as high as 40 mph. Highs soar to around 80, making today the warmest day since last October.

Breezes stay up tomorrow, but there's a slight chance of showers and storms as a front approaches the area. Highs go back to the 70s. That front will keep dangling through Iowa, keeping a chance of storms around Wednesday and becoming more likely on Thursday.

There's the potential for rainfall totals over an inch, depending on where the rounds of storms set up. Most, if not all, of the severe weather potential should stay to our southwest.
