Anamosa Votes to Lift Pitbull Ban

ANAMOSA, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- The Anamosa City Council voted on Monday to lift the ban against pit bulls.

The vote on March 26 was 4-2 to get rid of the ban and came after a man spoke to the city council in October.

The new ordinance allows people to bring their pit bulls in public and went into effect immediately after the vote.

Anamosa law previously didn't allow dogs that looked like a pitbull or had pit bull traits.
