Two Lawmakers Running for Senate Majority Leader

DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Two lawmakers say they are interested in replacing Bill Dix as the majority leader in the Iowa Senate.

This comes after liberal website Iowa Starting Line posted this video showing Dix kissing a lobbyist at a Des Moines bar. He resigned from his position as Senate majority leader and from the senate. Dix is a Republican from Shell Rock.

The Des Moines Register is reporting two people are interested in being the new Senate Majority Leader. Senate President Jack Whitver and Chairman of the Senate Ways and Means committee Randy Feenstra.

Republicans will choose a new leader Wednesday, March 14.
