CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) - Goldman Sachs confirmed it will close its Cedar Rapids call center in April, taking about 40 jobs with it.
Goldman Sachs spokesperson Andrew Williams confirmed the company is transferring that work to its Salt Lake City, Utah facility. Williams said the consolidation was about efficiency and that workers in Cedar Rapids will be able to transfer to the Utah location.
The last day for operations at the Cedar Rapids call center will be April 13th.
Goldman Sachs took over the Cedar Rapids call center in 2016 as part of an acquisition from GE Capital.
