The second part of this wintry system will be moving over eastern Iowa today. The general thinking is that another inch is likely in many areas, though we may see a few isolated spots get to 2" before the day is through.
The concern for today is rapidly changing behavior within the snow showers as they will tend to behave more like isolated thunderstorms in spots. Isolated bursts of heavy snow may occur for brief times as a result, which will most definitely reduce visibility. Treat this day as an isolated storm day, but with snow!
The wind will increase tonight with chilly conditions continuing right into Wednesday.
