Iowa Agriculture Secretary Bill Northey will swear into his new position with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Tuesday.
The Des Moines Register reports Northey will hold a news conference this morning at 10 to resign from his state position.
Then, U.S. Secretary of Ag Sonny Perdue will swear in Northey Tuesday night, here in Iowa.
That will happen at 8 p.m. during the Iowa Ag Leaders Dinner at the Iowa State Fairgrounds.
Northey will be on the air with "The Big Show" at Noon Monday to discuss what's next.
