IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa women's gymnastics team hosts Southeast Missouri State for Senior Night on Friday at 7 p.m. (CT) at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Sunday, the GymHawks travel to Texas Woman’s University for a 2 p.m. competition at the Kitty Magee Arena.
FRIDAY PARKING
Parking is free for Friday’s home meet. Fans are encouraged to park in Lot 46, the parking lot connected to Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
FRIDAY PROMOTIONS
Friday’s meet is Senior Night. Iowa’s four seniors will be honored following the meet, and the GymHawks’ last special edition poster will feature the seniors. The first 500 fans at the meet receive a poster, so fans are encouraged to arrive early to collect the final poster of the series.
Friday’s meet is Iowa’s Teal Meet. The first 500 fans receive a free teal pom-pom and bracelet.
It also marks Larissa Libby night. Any fan shorter than 5’1” gains free admission to the meet.
The Kids Zone will be available for young Hawkeye fans prior to the meet. It will open one and a half hours before to the meet for season ticket holders and one hour before the meet for the general public. The Kids Zone will include tattoos, an art station, a poster making station, and the balance beam. Two lucky fans will also be selected for the “Best Seat in the House” with floor seats.

FRIDAY
Southeast Missouri State is ranked No. 61 nationally with a regional qualifying score (RQS) of 192.120. Nationally, the Redhawks are also ranked 52nd on floor (48.630 RQS), 57th on vault (48.265), and 62nd on bars (48.000) and beam (47.990). Southeast Missouri State holds an overall record of 4-11 and a conference mark of 2-4.
SUNDAY
Texas Woman’s University is ranked No. 53 nationally with an RQS of 193.750. The team also ranks 37th on vault (48.785), 53rd on beam (48.280) and floor (48.620), and 55th on bars (48.405). The Pioneers hold an overall record of 6-7 with a conference mark of 5-0.
Texas Woman’s University and Southeast Missouri State competed in Texas Woman’s Quad Meet on Feb. 25. The Pioneers won with a 194.675, while the Redhawks finished third with a season-high 193.675.
LAST TIME OUT
Iowa team fell to Southern Utah, 195.850-195.775, on Feb. 23 at the America First Event Center. Three GymHawks earned event titles and the team registered 15 top-five finishes. Senior Lanie Snyder earned her fourth floor title of the season with a 9.900, tying her season best, while senior Nikki Youd and junior Nicole Chow tied for the win on beam with scores of 9.900.
IN THE RANKINGS
Iowa is ranked sixth in the Big Ten Conference and No. 30 in the nation with an RQS of 195.465.
As a team, the GymHawks rank 22nd on beam (48.960 RQS), 33rd on floor (48.990), and 36th on vault (48.795) and bars (48.775).
Four Hawkeyes rank in the top 100 nationally in event standings:
All-Around: Sophomore Charlotte Sullivan ranks 45th (39.005 RQS) in the all-around.
Bars: Senior Melissa Zurawski is 92nd (9.815) in uneven bars standings.
Beam: On beam, senior Nikki Youd ranks 40th (9.855).
Floor: Senior Lanie Snyder ranks 43rd (9.870) in floor standings.
