Fighting Illini’s Alex Brown claims first weekly conference honor

- Went 2-0 in doubles and singles last week to lead Illinois to a 4-0 win vs. No. 23 California
- Clinched the doubles point vs. California with a 6-1 win with doubles partner and fellow freshman Caleb Chakravarthi in the No. 3 position
- Improved to 6-0 in doubles on the season with Chakravarthi
- Provided Illinois its first team point vs. No. 5 Stanford with a come-from-behind 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 win at the No. 3 spot vs. Sameer Kumar
- Earns the first Athlete of the Week award of his career
