RICHARD HARTMAN OF MANCHESTER AND TOBIN HARTMAN OF RYAN, PLED GUILTY IN THE DELAWARE COUNTY DISTRICT COURT.

BOTH WERE CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH AN INSURANCE FRAUD INVESTIGATION BY THE IOWA INSURANCE DIVISION’S FRAUD BUREAU AND THE DELAWARE COUNTY ATTORNEY’S OFFICE.

THE INVESTIGATION FOUND RICHARD FILED A FRAUDULENT INSURANCE CLAIM FOR DAMAGES HE CLAIMED WERE CAUSED WHEN HE HIT HIS SON, TOBIN'S CATTLE BARN WITH A SKID LOADER WITH GRINNELL MUTUAL REINSURANCE COMPANY.

TOBIN GAVE FALSE STATEMENTS TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY THAT WERE SIMILAR TO RICHARD'S VERSION OF THE INCIDENT.

THE HARTMAN'S SUCCESSFULLY RECEIVED $240,000 TO REPLACE THE DAMAGED BUILDING.
