Iowans Ready for Caucus Tonight

DES MOINES, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- Monday, February 5th marks the Iowa Caucuses. While 2018 may not seem to be a very important year without a presidential election, there are many races Iowans will decide later this year.

Some of those races include who will become the next Governor of the state, as well as many positions in the state Legislature.

Monday night people from precincts around Iowa will gather to organize their Democratic and Republican parties. People will also elect representatives for their county committee and share their ideas for what they want addressed.

Both of Iowa's Democrat and Republican parties have information on their websites to find your caucus location. Caucuses begin at 7 p.m.
