Waterloo Missing Woman Identified

A body found in a Waterloo cemetery on Friday is now identified as a Waterloo woman who had been missing for about a week.

40-year-old Lakisha Williams was discovered Friday by a person who was searching a remote area of Garden of Memories cemetery for shed deer antlers.

Waterloo Police Major Joe Liebold tells WMT Radio News the death is considered suspicious.

Williams’ husband is being detained by police in Minnesota.
