Go Cedar Rapids will be bringing a three-day event, "newbo evolve" to Cedar Rapids on August 3-5.
The event will feature Maroon 5, Kelly Clarkson and the Cedar Screamer Zip Line.
Throughout the weekend, pass holders will be able to attend expert sessions and concerts during the festival.
"Purchasing a three-day pass not only means getting a great seat at terrific concerts, but attendees can choose if they want to focus on specific topics or sessions covering a variety of subjects. We'll run concurrent multiple sessions and repeat selected sessions we believe to be the most popular," Go Cedar Rapids CEO Aaron McCreight said.
Passholders are guaranteed preferred-section seating for concerts throughout the weekend.
Events throughout the weekend include:
Friday, August 3:Kelly Clarkson will be headlining. The first winner of "American Idol" is known for her songs "Stronger," "Breakaway," and "All I Ever Wanted."
Saturday, August 4:Maroon 5 will be headlining. The band has sold over 17 million albums worldwide and is known for their songs "Misery," "Moves Like Jagger," "Maps," and "Sugar."
Sunday, August 5:Keynote speaker- Alexis Ohanian, Co-Founder of RedditOne man, spoken word lecture- Screenwriter, film director and author John Waters
Interactive sessions throughout the weekend will be led by Clint Harp (carpentry and woodworking), Carson Kressley (fashion/stylist), and Christian Siriano (fashion designer).
Some of the celebrities at the event will also be available for book signings, pop-up shops and meet and greet.
Aside from the concerts, the Cedar Screamer Zip Line will be launched in May and will stay up until August. The zip line is set to go over the Cedar River.
Tickets go on sale Friday. Weekend passes for the event are $375 and are available for people 18 years old and up.
Tickets for the concerts will also be available to be purchased separately for those who don't want a weekend pass.
General admission tickets for Maroon 5 start at $70. General admission tickets for Kelly Clarkson begin at $54.50. Both concerts are an all ages show.
