AMES, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- An Iowa State University defensive lineman faces an OWI charge after an early morning arrest.
The Story County Sheriff’s Office confirms Kamilo Tongamoa was booked in the local jail around 5:00 a.m. Sunday, then later released.
The Des Moines Register reports ISU Police arrested Tongamoa hours earlier, around 2:30 a.m. The paper reports he also faces charges for striking an unattended vehicle, failure to have a valid license, and not having insurance.
Iowa State University spokesman Mike Green told the Register Tongamoa is in violation of the school’s Student-Athlete Code of Conduct and has been suspended.
