U.S. Senator Joni Ernst says she has some concerns about a tariff placed on imported solar panels. She says it would have a negative impact on construction in the United States.
"We don't manufacture enough of those solar panels here in the United States to complete those projects." Ernst said.
The tariff was raised during a Senate meeting about the North American Free Trade Agreement. Ernst says while the tariff won't hurt existing projects, it will raise prices and slow future installations.
