IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- One person has been charged after a convenience store theft at 1:59 p.m. on January 7.
Police in Johnson County responded theft at Casey's General Store on 204 North Dubuque Street Sunday afternoon.
Staff at Casey's told police a suspect had hidden several items on himself.
The staff said when they confronted the suspect about taking items, he assaulted the staff.
Alexander Sojka, 25, of Cedar Rapids, was identified as the suspect. He has been charged with Aggravated Theft, 1st Offense.
The value of the items was $30.01.
