One person is dead after a crash that happened in Johnson County early this morning.
Police responded to the single-vehicle accident on I-380 southbound at 1:03 a.m. on January 3.
Officials say the ice or snow on the road caused the driver to go into the ditch west of North Liberty near mile marker 8.
They say the car rolled onto its top and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police haven't released the name of the person but said they were using their seatbelt.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Johnson County Sheriff's Office and Swisher Fire Department.
