Game Notes:
· The Hawkeyes conclude the nonconference season with a 12-1 record, matching their best start since 2010-11.
· Three scored in double figures. They include: Megan Gustafson (27), Makenzie Meyer (21), and Alexis Sevillian (12).
· Junior Megan Gustafson registered her NCAA-leading 12th double-double of the season (27 points, 12 rebounds). It marked the 39th double-double of her career.
· Gustafson has scored 20 or more points seven times this season.
· Sophomore Makenzie Meyer tied her career-high with 21 points. Her five 3-pointers made also marked a career-best.
· Iowa shot 50 percent from 3-point range – a season best.
· Iowa has now defeated six teams – Quinnipiac, Western Kentucky, Elon, Iowa State, UNI, and Drake – that made the NCAA Tournament last season.
· The Hawkeyes evened the all-time series, 25-25. Iowa is now 15-2 against the Bulldogs in the Lisa Bluder era.
· The win marked the first state sweep for the Hawkeyes since 2014-15.
· Iowa opens its Big Ten slate at Wisconsin on Thursday, Dec. 28. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. (CT) in Madison, Wisconsin.
