Two-Thirds of Iowans Don't Approve of Mental Health

Nearly two-thirds of Iowans, 64 percent, don't approve of how state leaders are handling mental health issues. That's the result of a new Des Moines Register- Mediacom Iowa Poll.

The poll shows dissatisfaction among Republicans. 50 percent disapproved of the state's approach to dealing with mental health problems.

75 percent of Democrats don't like how things are going. 63 percent of independents disagree with the state mental health system.
