With the holiday season here, many people have put up holiday lights.
To get into the holiday spirit, viewers have asked if we will compile a list of displays to see in eastern Iowa. You can find it below.
Anamosa: 907 E. 2nd Street-17,000 lights are synced to Christmas music and were designed and programmed by a 13-year-old. The show runs Sunday-Thursday from 5:30-9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:30-10 p.m.
Cedar Rapids: 1251 Staub Ct NE-This display is on now through New Year's Day from dusk until 8-8:30 p.m.
1238 Maplewood Drive NE
Gordon Avenue Lights; 5401 Gordon Avenue NW-This light show has 9 songs programmed to music that you can hear on 88.7 FM in your car. This year the display is taking donations for a woman who was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer. You might even find someone handing out candy canes when you visit the display.
Coralville: 'Candy Cane Lane'; 734 12th Ave.-With a large 'Merry Christmas' sign in the yard, this house features red and white bulbs. If you're lucky you might see a live Santa at the display inside the sleigh.
Dubuque: 'Reflections in the Park' Louis Murphy Park; 1700 S Grandview Ave-Cars are $10 at the gate and money raised goes to Hillcrest Family Services. The event runs daily until New Years Day from 5-10 p.m. and people who visit the light display on Monday's can even see Santa.
505 Primrose Court-An annual event, this house has over 20,000 lights. This year the theme is blue and white, with different animals and other festive lights-including a tree.
Iowa City: 'Oberman Lights'; 4477 Napolean Street SE-There are over 15,000 channels programmed to this musical light display. Songs include “Let it Go” from the movie Frozen, “Baba Yetu” by Alex Boye and “Silent Night” performed by Mannheim Steamroller.
North English: 225 North Campbell Street-This display has 30 minutes of lights and music. It is displayed from 5-10 p.m. daily.
Solon: 1697 Newberry Ave NE-Over 20,000 lights illuminate the sky sequenced to a 45-minute Christmas program that hopes to remind both young and old of the true meaning of Christmas.
Stanwood: 201 3rd Avenue-The lights are synced to a radio station. The display runs 5:30-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 5:30 p.m. - Midnight on Friday and Saturdays.
West Branch: 23 Greenview Cr
West Union: Festival of Lights; North Pine Street
Williamsburg: Christmas on Court Street; 401 Court Street-The display features 104 individual light channels sequenced to 33 music tracks that are transmitted to an FM radio station and speakers.
