UPDATE: Waterloo police tell TV9 the man injured has been transferred to an Iowa City hospital.

A Waterloo man is in the hospital in serious condition following a shooting, according to police.
Authorities happened about 7 p.m. Monday at 121 Courtland Street in Waterloo.
According to the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier witnesses told police they heard a half dozen gunshots. Police found the man inside the home and that's where they think the shooting happened.
Police have not released the man's identity and continue to investigate the incident.
