A 46-year-old man is dead after a semi ran him over at a Cedar Rapids business.
Police, fire and E-M-S responded to DuPont Industrial Bioscience just before 10 a.m. on Wednesday. That's located at 1000 41st Avenue Drive Southwest.
Police say they responded to a report of an employee who was run over. The man died at the scene.
DuPont released a statement regarding the incident, saying they're devastated by what happened.
"Although words are small comfort in times like these, DuPont wishes to extend our deepest sympathy for the family, friends and co-workers of this team member," said Wendy Rosen with DuPont. "We are in touch with the family to provide every possible measure of support during this incredibly difficult time and are providing on site counseling services for our employees."
DuPont went on to say in their statement they're working closely with authorities as they investigate the incident. They're also doing their "own top-to-bottom review of this incident."
