Victim in Floyd Co. Crash Identified

FLOYD COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- A Postville man is dead after a crash about 4:30 a.m. Monday near Highway 18 and Waterbury Road in Floyd County.

The Iowa State Patrol said 21-year-old Tanner Walker was driving north on Highway 18 at Waterbury Road when he drifted off the road for an unknown reason, lost control, and rolled into the median.

Troopers said Walker was ejected from his SUV. Emergency crews took him to a hospital where doctors pronounced him dead._______________PREVIOUS STORY:

Police were called to a single vehicle accident at 4:30 a.m. on December 4 in Floyd County.

The driver was traveling northbound on Highway 18 when the driver went off the road for an unknown reason.

The person lost control of the car and rolled into the median.

The driver was ejected from the Explorer and their name has not been released.

The accident is under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol and is being assisted by Floyd Fire and the Floyd County Sheriff Department.
