CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Today will be a major transition day across the Midwest. We'll start extremely mild for this time of year, and highs should warm well into the 60s. While records should stay safe, it'll be close in spots.
Isolated showers and even a thunderstorm may occur along a cold front that should move in after 2-3pm.
The wind will be very strong today, first out of the south, then a switch to the northwest as the front passes through in the late afternoon hours. Gusts to 50mph may occur this evening!
