MONTICELLO, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- A Monticello police officer went to the hospital after crashing his vehicle while responding to a crime call.
Monticello Police said they received a report of a domestic assault around 2 a.m. Tuesday.
They said the responding officer lost control of his squad car when he swerved to miss a deer on South Main Street. The car went into a ditch, and rolled several times.
The officer was flown to a hospital where he was in stable condition Tuesday night.
