The Iowa alcohol beverages division issued a reminder on Friday, telling consumers about something that has been on the books for years.
There are 4 wineries and 4 breweries on the Illinois side of the Quad City Metro, so by law, out of those 8 businesses, consumers can't bring beverages they make across the river.
According to the law, only liquor can be brought into the state by a consumer. Beer and wine, off limits.
