Deer Ends Up in Car after Bremer Co. Accident

BREMER COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- A deer ended up in a car in Bremer County over the weekend.

The Bremer County Sheriff’s Office was called to a car vs deer accident at about 7:30 p.m. Friday, October 6, on V-14 north of Waverly.

A 2001 Chevy Impala and a 2014 Chevy Equinox were both traveling southbound when three or four deer entered the roadway.

The cars weren't able to avoid hitting the deer and both vehicles had damage.

The driver of the Impala, Ashley Ellis of Sumner, did have minor injuries and was transported to the Waverly Health Center.

The driver of the Equinox, Karli Kilcher of Fredericksburg was not hurt.

The Bremer County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Waverly Police Department, Waverly Ambulance, and Marks Towing.
