WASHINGTON, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- The Washington Community School District announced on their website before 7 a.m. on Friday, October 6 that they will not be having school.
They said the closure is "due to some concerning messages on school safety."
The website said they are working closely with local law enforcement to ensure a safe environment.
At this time they plan to have all evening activities go on as scheduled.
