TULSA, Okla. -- Senior Josh Silverstein represented the University of Iowa men’s tennis on day four of the ITA All-American Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tulsa.
Seventh-seeded Silverstein fell in the Round of 64 to Big Ten foe Noe Khlif from Illinois, 6-3, 6-3. The match was a tough battle that included a long rally that seemed to shift the momentum of the match.
“I didn’t perform as well as I would’ve liked,” said Silverstein. “My opponent played great and deserved the win. I will keep working hard to prepare hard for ITA Regionals.”
The Hawkeyes return to action at the Notre Dame Invite this weekend October 6-8, in South Bend, Indiana.
