IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The University of Iowa baseball team will host a fall exhibition contest against the Ontario Blue Jays on Saturday at 11 a.m. (CT) at Duane Banks Field.
The teams will play until 3 p.m. (CT); admission is free.
UI head coach Rick Heller will present Big Ten championship rings to the 2017 squad following the sixth inning on Saturday. Iowa went 4-1 at the Big Ten Tournament in Bloomington, Indiana, to claim the program's first tournament title in school history.
The Hawkeyes finished the season with a 39-22 overall record -- the fifth most wins in school history -- and advanced to NCAA Regional play for the second time in three seasons under Heller.
Iowa also announced the dates for the Black & Gold World Series. The 2017 edition will be held Oct. 11-13 at Banks Field to close out the fall season.
