Two Oelwein residents are facing prostitution charges following a Fayette County Sheriff's Office investigation.
Deputies arrested 29-year-old Mistie Schmidt on pimping charges, and 29-year-old Sandra McMurrin on several counts of prostitution.
Investigators said McMurrin and Schmidt advertised for escort services on the website Backpage.com. They said the pair would meet potential clients in surrounding cities as well as their Oelwein residence.
The Fayette County Sheriff said the investigation continues and more charges and arrests are possible.
