PARIS, France -- University of Iowa All-American Thomas Gilman will wrestle for a gold medal Friday at noon (CT) against Japan’s Yuki Takahashi at the 2017 UWW World Championships in Paris, France.
Gilman was 4-0 Friday morning in the 57 kg bracket, winning one match by technical fall and three more by decision, including a 5-4 win over North Korea’s Hakjin Jong in the semifinals. The finals are streamed live at trackwrestling.com.
