The 10 Life Skills Your Kids Will Need

David Pogue has written a book, "The World According to Twitter," and from the pickings, he was able to put together a list of the "best advice I've ever received."

One entry really struck me as I read it. Pogue said it came from Karen Rosen, who gave her mother-in-law the credit.

"These are the ten life skills your kids will need." These are ten things your kids will need to know how to do in order to become self-sufficient.

  1. Say please and thank you
  2. Shake hands
  3. Swim
  4. Ride a bike
  5. Do laundry
  6. Cook
  7. Bank
  8. Type
  9. Drive
  10. Clean your room

She added another to the list, "Always smile at your children so they will remember you that way."

Wow. Moms and Dads, print this out and take it with you. Today. read it first thing in the morning and last thing before you go to bed. Your children will thank you.
