DES MOINES, Iowa - Here we go, again. Another snow storm is moving into Iowa Saturday night into Sunday. The National Weather Service is issuing a Winter Weather Advisory for the entire State of Iowa.
The snow will begin in the Southwest part of the state, and move across Iowa to the Northeast. The snow start times map is below.
The Cedar Rapids area is likely to see 4-6 inches of new snow, but heavier snow is being predicted just a little west of Cedar Rapids in Benton County and across Central Iowa.
The most intense snowfall rates are forecast late this evening into Sunday morning. Once the snow begins, roads conditions will quickly deteriorate as they become snow covered and slick, but the National Weather Service says winds will stay low so blowing and drifting is not expected.
